A severe heat wave hits Iraq next week

Weather forecasters predicted a new rise in temperatures in Iraq starting next week, noting that the wave including some European countries.

"The north-west wind continue today Wednesday ,Thursday and Friday, especially the cities of Basra, Maysan, Dhi Qar and Wasit with a chance for dust storm during the day," the agencies said.

"A severe heat wave that will sweep many Western European countries in the middle of next week will record a temperature higher than the average of 11-15 degrees Celsius," it said, adding that this wave will hit some Middle Eastern countries."

Explained that "the expectations continue with a heat wave affecting Iraq and Kuwait and parts of the Levant and the island from next Sunday."
