Khanaqin is the second highest temperature region in the world

The site "eldorado weather" specialized in monitoring the highest and lowest temperatures in the world daily, Monday, announced that three Iraqi regions were among the top ten in the world during the past 24 hours.

Kuwait's Failaka island recorded the highest temperature in the world at 50.2 degrees Celsius, followed by the Iraqi city of Khanaqin, which recorded 48.5 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.

Added that "the cities of Amara and Tikrit ranked eighth and ninth in the world for high temperature of 47 degrees Celsius."
