3 Turkish soldiers killed in clashes with PKK

The Turkish government, on Thursday, revealed the killing of three Turkish soldiers in clashes with PKK elements in the southeast of the country.

Three Turkish soldiers were killed in a clash with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the southeast of the country near the border with Syria and Iraq, the office of the governor of Shirnakh said.

The governor's office said in a written statement that three PKK militants were "killed" during the confrontation.

He added that the soldiers were overseeing the security of the Turkish state oil company (TPAO) near the town of Slopi in the province of Shirnakh when the clash took place on Wednesday.
