PM Sudani: We want to expand our economic cooperation with Saudi Arabia

During a meeting with the Saudi crown prince, the Iraqi prime minister said his country wants to expand economic cooperation with Saudi Arabia. Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Sudani met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh, the prime minister's press office said in a statement.

The meeting also discussed the development of joint cooperation issues within the framework of the Coordination Council between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, which has signed several agreements in various fields between the two countries.

During the meeting, Sudani said Iraq wants to expand economic cooperation with Saudi Arabia because it will help create new economic opportunities between the two countries.

For his part, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said his country is committed to having the best relations with Iraq and that Saudi Arabia is trying to strengthen cooperation with Iraq.

The two sides also discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip and the killing and starvation of Palestinians by the occupying forces, both sides stressed the need for more efforts to stop the fighting in the Gaza Strip.
